This page (menu#class) introduces to any user who are wondering why some pages have (R) or (S)

Classifications in the DXC Network

A brief introduction

  • Due to the limitations of New Sites, having a forum layout back in the old Classic Sites is no longer possible. As Classic Sites allowed page level permissions, and New Sites does not.

  • Hence, all we can do is simple:

    1. Stop posting anymore confidential and secret stuff

    2. Implementing a sort of tag on a page. Not affecting the path to the page, simple appending (R) and (S) to the end of a page name as well as appending [Restricted] and [Secret] to a page's header.

  • For more information, you can visit this wikipedia page: Classified information (Src: Wikipedia)

Common - no label and/or not labelled (C)

No label or not labelled; Standard support for all

At any site, in fact in majority of the pages in this site are all general prupose and common use. What this standard and default classification grants are any questions or queries directed at a certain page shall more certainly be entertained. These pages will feature these indicators:

  1. Can be read by anyone anytime anywhere in the world.

  2. None of these sites will ever be labelled with any (R) or (S)

  3. It will be a clear cut common page if it has a dxcc.sg redirect

Restricted (R)

Family and Friends only; No support for strangers

[Restricted] label in the page header will strongly indicate that the page is used for supporting family, friends or business partners in any colloborations done in the past, present and the near future. There are not many of these pages as not everything can be put on the web unless necessary. Hence the indicators:

  1. [Restricted] label even though page's path has no indication

  2. Page title ends with (R) due to above said reason

  3. There will be a disclaimer of some sort informing any visitor that the page is for what purpose

  4. When any of your queries is not even entertained

  5. There will not be any redirects from dxcc.sg. Instead, it is often sc.dxcc.sg or bit.ly and not even linked to the said page

Secret (S)

For targetted individuals only; No support for those not involved

[Secret] label in the page header and (S) in the page title? Path has the word 'secret' in it? This would only mean one thing comrade, you have stumbed upon some secret pages that should never be acessed. This is an indicator that a page is considered secret:

  1. [Secret] label in the page header

  2. Page title ends with (S)

  3. Page path has the word 'secret'

  4. Page is either poorly formatted or there are too many curly braces around {}

One thing to note is that these indicators will never and might never be in full set. So, as long as you see one of those indicators, that page is most likely a secret page. But no panic, those pages are not going to destroy the world of what, it is just some other online references needed when doing some of my works.
