Changes to DXC Network: De-Go-Da-lisation Plan (2021)

I am sure if you who dwell my sites have seen notices on DXCellon and DXCC. Dec 2020 to Jan 2021 was a sad end of an era. However, as far as complains go. I not only lost many accounts due to the sudden death of my then phone but also in the trust of a certain company that treats its customers like sh*t. Looking in your face G**y.

With that being said, I am glad this only dragged on for two years from the acquisition of DXCellon.com to months before the renewal of DXCC.sg

After considering all factors, a unified decision is made to forsake the DXCC.sg domain in favor of the one domain policy that was broken in the beginning.

To the managing registrar of the .sg domain. I swear to you that I, DXC, hereby have forsaken the DXCC.sg domain. Whoever acquires that domain, is the worse company of all time I have ever encountered. The bad customer service, helpdesk and the list goes on. There is no need for me to eleborate. So, here goes the plan:

  • Email services linking or dependent on the DXCC.sg domain will be manually halted mid-March 2021 if not earlier.

  • Affected sites like DXCC and the old/legacy DXCC will have DXChiam.com mirrors that will eventually replace the current DXCC.sg name till mid-March 2021.

  • Bitly URLs under sc.DXCC.sg will unfortunately stop working. Since Bitly has stopped allowing regular F2P users to use custom domains, it leaves me no choice but to also, say goodbye to Bitly for now - maybe in the far future, with a better domain, I will be back.

  • For PGO/PKMN contacts, the existing group will be affected by this and need to be relocated. Steps have been taken for verification, the planning and the execution. So people who have contacted me via that medium/channel fret not, I got this.

Other than that, all thats left is the editing of links, and the removal of all DXCC.sg links, remapping sites and changing everything to a new brand. This is the first phrase of the De-Go-Da-lisation Plan: De-DXCC-lisation.

Introduced many new pages in DXCellon and DXCC (2020)

There are plans for new pages. On 2020 October 27, changes were made.

DXCellon (www.dxcellon.com) have a default "DXCellon Works" page. DXCC (www.dxcc.sg) lacks one, hence "DXCC Games" was created.

Further plans are reflected in Quick Links:

  • DXCellon MMDs - to track and update on MMDs that I create after gathering the models and motion files

  • DXCC Minecraft - to feature my worlds, or even include my older builds

  • DXCC World of Tanks - to keep track of my own grinds as well as featuring educational replays

Updates on the DXCC Links will be updated here. Rules follow, where the page has to be at top level and the page name is host name (CNAME) for the HOST in {HOST}.dxcc.sg with the exception for DXChiam About Us, which uses about as its host name.

DXC Logs "Blogs" for minor updates (2020)

It is extremely troublesome to update new changes using Google Sites.

The act of modifying things and having to update them on desktops/laptops is starting to be a problem, now that my activity is increasing. Thus three blogs, one each for the three domains of the DXC Network were created on 2020 October 26.

Starting from 2021, these blogs will be used.

Converted DXCC (www) to New Sites (2020)

Converted DXCC (www) Site to the New Google Sites on 2020 September 25. A Five-Part Plan of converting the Five DXC Network Sites from the old Classic Sites to the New Sites.

Finally, this is the last of the five sites in the DXC Network.

However, there will be a banner till the site completes its conversion.

Converted DXCellon (www) Site to the New Google Sites on 2020 September 23. This is a Five-Part Plan of converting the Five DXC Network Sites from the old Classic Sites to the New Sites. The banner will be up till the site completes its conversion.

Added a Security Classification pages on DXChiam Support (2020)

Added the Security Classification page on DXChiam Support for general populace on 2020 September 8 to reference if puzzled by why are there labels on the pages they visited.

Important things to note:

  • "Security Classification" can be refered to as "Page Classification", "Page Security Classification" or simply "Classification" or

  • In any order of the words: "Classification", "Security" and "Page" due to the general term not fully finalised

Converted DXC Support to New Sites (2020)

Converted DXC Support on 2020 September 1 to the new Google Sites. Nothing much can be said but the steps to leaving the old Classic Sites is underway to embrace Google New Sites.

Update:

  • Moved "New Features" from root into Contents, new path: menu#new

  • Moved "Legacy Support" from root into Contents, new path: menu#legacy

  • Improved the layout of DXChiam Downloads even further by adding three secret pages: file directory, sitemap and template

  • Reworked Contents (page: menu) by creating a new Contents page and moving and renaming the old one into "Family Network" (menu#wifi)

Edit: DXChiam Support has been rebranded as DXC Support. Conversion Completed.

Converted DXC Downloads to New Sites (2020)

Converted DXC Downloads on 2020 August 21 to the new Google Sites. Basically the same, but with slight reduction of features but it does not matter. Better than creating my own.

Update:

  • Moved "Excel Workbooks" to root. Projects for the three subpages in Excel will continue again

  • Deleted "Legacy Pages" and "Executable Files (Legacy)" and those pages will only be available on web archives

  • Improved the layout of DXChiam Downloads even further by adding three secret pages: file directory, sitemap and template

Edit: DXChiam Downloads has been rebranded as DXC Downloads. Conversion Completed.

DXC Discord Bots (2020)

Page Discord Bots created on 2020 August 18 bringing news of the current project I am working on. A public bot and a personal bot, built with the same code, to be deployed on my server.

Music Collection (2020)

Created Music Collection on 2020 May 16 for self with the purpose of being able to acess personal collection of music on phones that do not have access to the main accounts that stores these files.

Pokémon Go (2019)

Created pkmn.dxcc.sg on 2019 December 21 for family, RL friends and international friends added in Pokémon Go.
